Da das Wetter auch super mitspielte, nutzte ich diese Zeit, um die Gegend hier genauer zu erkunden. Michael, Philipp, Larissa und Korbi sind aus Wisconsin, <a href=\"http:\/\/31ppp.de\/julia-hufnagl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/01\/10479749_794494017288345_4502189542813132021_n1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-658 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/31ppp.de\/julia-hufnagl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/01\/10479749_794494017288345_4502189542813132021_n1.jpg\" alt=\"Silvester\" width=\"499\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a>Montana, Nevada und Oregon angereist. Bene und ich hatten aus Mt. Vernon also mit Abstand die k\u00fcrzeste Anreise. Bei der \u00fcblichen Fahrtzeit von einer Stunde und 45 Minuten blieb es aber leider nicht, da wir allein bei der Grenzkontrolle schon knapp zwei Stunden warten mussten. Es sah so aus, als w\u00e4ren wir wohl nicht die einzigen, die am 31.12. nach Kanada einreisen wollen&#8230; Wir blieben bis zum 03.01.15 in Vancouver, also war die n\u00e4chsten Tage wieder Sightseeing angesagt. Wir besuchten den Stanley Park (in einem ganzen Tag schafften wir nicht einmal, ihn einmal komplett zu umrunden), den Granville Island Public Market (wo ich mal wieder sehr leckeres europ\u00e4isches Brot kaufte), Chinatown und das Olympic Village (was aber eher langweilig ist: Nur der Stra\u00dfenname &#8220;Athletes Way&#8221; erinnert an die Olympischen Winterspiele 2010 in Vancouver). Am letzten Tag waren wir noch im Capilano Suspension Bridge Park und Lynn Canyon Park, die etwas n\u00f6rdlich von Vancouver sind. Den Lynn Canyon Park kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen! W\u00e4hrend man f\u00fcr den Capilano Suspension Bridge Park 30 CAD Eintritt bezahlen muss, ist der Lynn Canyon kostenlos und bietet meiner Meinung nach sogar sch\u00f6nere Wanderwege, da alles etwas mehr naturbelassen ist. Eine riesige H\u00e4ngebr\u00fccke gab es in beiden Parks, der Capilano Park hatte aber noch mehr geschichtliches Material, einen Baumwipfelpfad und eine Aussichtsplattform zu bieten\u00a0&#8211; Meats Market in Seattle eingekauft (von dem ich euch auch schon mal Bilder gezeigt habe) und gab mir g\u00fctigerweise auch etwas von seinem Leberk\u00e4se ab. Ich hatte sogar noch mehr bayrische Unterst\u00fctzung: Auch Philipp und Korbi kommen aus dem sch\u00f6nsten Bundesland. Januar schon wieder in vollem Gange (wie ihr seht ist der Dreik\u00f6nigstag hier kein Feiertag). Mein Stundenplan f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten drei Monate sieht folgenderma\u00dfen aus: Montag bis Donnerstag t\u00e4glich von 8.30 bis 9.20 Uhr College (Interpersonal Communication), danach gehts dann jeden Tag au\u00dfer Donnerstag von 10.00 bis 15.00 Uhr in die Arbeit. An Wochenenden muss ich nat\u00fcrlich auch immer noch teilweise arbeiten. Der erste Eindruck von meinem neuen College Kurs ist jedenfalls schon richtig gut, au\u00dferdem sind dieses Mal alle Studenten eher in meiner Altersklasse. Mittwochs nehme ich dann noch an den w\u00f6chentlichen Treffen des International Travel Clubs teil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Das Wetter in Mt. Vernon bleibt weiterhin\u00a0regnerisch &#8211; bis jetzt hatten wir kein einziges Mal Schnee, wobei Schnee hier auch eher unnormal w\u00e4re.
