Davor besuchte ich aber mit meinen zwei Freunden Insa (aus Deutschland) und Arrien (aus den Niederlanden) den Christmas Market in Vancouver, der Christkindlm\u00e4rkte in Deutschland als Vorbild hat und wo es folglich auch vieeele Deutsche Leckereien zu kaufen gibt. style=\"clear: both\" \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Als der Heiligabend dann schlie\u00dflich gekommen war, ging ich um sieben Uhr abends mit Michal und Dale zusammen in die Kirche, bei der ich spontan vor der ganzen Gemeinde ein Deutsches Lied als Solo zum Besten gab. Der ganze Gottesdienst hatte aber um ehrlich zu sein eher etwas von einem Konzert als einer Messe, wie ich sie aus Deutschland kenne. Was auch interessant ist: Viele Kirchen werben mit Zeitungsanzeigen oder <span style=\"color: #545454\">\u00c4<\/span>hlichem f\u00fcr ihren Gottesdienst am Heiligabend.<\/p>\n<p>Danach hie\u00df es: Endlich Geschenke auspacken! Von manchen wurde ich schon gefragt &#8220;Werden Geschenke in den USA nicht eigentlich erst am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag morgens ausgepackt?&#8221; &#8211; laut meinen Gasteltern macht es aber eigentlich jede Familie einfach, wie sie will (\u00fcbrigens kann man Santa sogar unter <a title=\"www.noradsanta.org\" href=\"http:\/\/www.noradsanta.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.noradsanta.org\/<\/a> verfolgen). Und da ich es sowieso nicht mehr erwarten konnte, wurde es dieses Jahr eben German-Style gemacht! Schon in der Woche zuvor hatte ich n\u00e4mlich Pakete von meiner Familie und Freunden bekommen, die seit dem unter dem Christbaum darauf warteten, von mir ausgepackt zu werden. Vieeeeeeelen lieben Dank nochmal an alle, die an mich gedacht haben! Ich habe wirklich nicht mit so vielen tollen Sachen gerechnet &#8211; mein Schokoladenvorrat ist jedenfalls vermutlich f\u00fcr das ganze restliche Jahr gesichert. Laut Dale gab es noch nie so viel Schokolade in ihrem Haus. Auch an\u00a0ihn und Michal\u00a0haben meine Eltern gedacht, und ihnen S\u00fc\u00dfes (neben einer riesen Box Pl\u00e4tzchen gab es noch Stollen, eine riesen Tafel Milkaschokolade und Baumkuchen), eine Kerze und eine Sch\u00fcrze zugeschickt. Nach der Bescherung\u00a0fuhren Dale, Zhenzhen und ich noch ein bisschen in Mt. Mit meinen M\u00e4dels wurde dann auch nochmal geskypt.\u00a0Zu Mittag gab es sp\u00e4ter\u00a0lecker mexikanisches Essen. Da ich aber trotzdem frei hatte, unternahm ich mit Michal und Dale einen Ausflug nach Whidbey Island, die l\u00e4ngste Insel in den USA.
